Christina Biester, MD

Christina was born in Zeist, Holland where her father worked for an American company based in Cleveland, OH, where she lived from 1972-1974. Christina graduated from the Swiss School in São Paulo, Brazil in 1982, and from the Federal University Escola Paulista de Medicina (UNIFESP) in 1987. She had heard Billy Graham there in 1979 and trusted the Lord as her Savior. She later moved to Switzerland and worked for the Christian Clinic SGM in Langenthal Switzerland, where she met Daniel and they married in 1990. As newlyweds, they spent a year at the Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music in Michigan. That was followed by two years in Tanzania and Kenya with her husband flying with MAF until 1994 back in Switzerland she first worked part time at the University of Bern, in the neurology department participating in gathering data on certain muscular dystrophies. Then she accepted a position as Assistenzaerztin at the Psychiatric Clinic in St. Urban, near Langenthal, followed by volunteer work at the mental health department in Yap, while Daniel flew with Pacific Mission Aviation until 2003. A residency training in Family Medicine was completed in 2006, and Christina currently works as a Primary Care Provider for CareSouth in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Christina and Daniel gladly accepted the position as Board Members of Cutting Edge Foundation, since they were friends with Bert and Debbie since the late 1980’s.
